EleVia Mobile Accounting Apps Coming This Summer

May 5, 2017

Denny Iskierka and I recently spoke about technology trends at the Deltek Vision Large Firm User Group/Power User Group joint meeting in April. Not surprisingly, there was a lot of interest in our discussion of mobile technology, and our announcement that we’ll be launching mobile versions of our accounting apps, EleVia Electronic Invoicing and EleVia Payables Approval & Tracking, this summer.

We all know mobile is the future. It’s being driven by the increasing interconnectedness of machines and objects — the Internet of Things (IoT). You see it in your work every day for clients, as they increasingly demand data-driven building features, from smart utility meters to ambient temperature control to occupancy detection sensors. In fact, Smart Buildings have been dubbed the “Killer App” of IoT for their ability to lower operating costs, improve safety and increase occupant comfort.

But don’t overlook the power of mobile to improve your own business. Gartner predicts that within five years, 70% of software interactions in enterprises will occur on mobile devices. The world’s preeminent IT research company also predicts that by 2021, 50% of apps will trigger events for users to make them more efficient.

That’s exactly what EleVia Software already does. Both our EleVia Electronic Invoicing and EleVia Payables Approval & Tracking software notifies project managers via email when they have invoices to review. The email includes a link directly to those invoices. Currently, project managers need a VPN connection to link with our software remotely. But this summer, when we introduce our mobile accounting apps, project managers will only need a mobile device and a Wi-Fi connection to approve invoices on the road.

With our newest product launched in 2016, EleVia Field Services Suite, we came out of the gate with a mobile version so field crews and chiefs can do everything remotely. They get their assignments, see a map of the location, and upload site photos and notes on their mobile devices. The best part is that crews don’t even have to enter timesheets; timesheets are automatically created from field work assignments. So not only does the mobile software increase field crew utilization, it also improves time capture and billings.

We’re excited about the future of mobile technology and using it to help you improve your business. If you have questions about our upcoming mobile accounting apps, contact Denny Iskierka at or 612-326-3909
