Software’s Grids module pulls data directly from DLR Group’s Deltek Vision ERP system to automate previously manual forecasting.
MINNEAPOLIS June 1, 2017—To more accurately forecast revenue and staffing needs among 1,000-plus employees in 27 offices worldwide, top-ranking integrated design firm DLR Group purchased EleVia Electronic Invoicing software and its optional Grids module.
“We’ve historically created a six-month rolling forecast manually on spreadsheets,” said DLR Group Financial Systems Director Chris Haferbier. “That may have been sufficient when we were smaller, but in the past two years we added seven offices and more than 350 people through numerous acquisitions. We needed a more sophisticated and accurate way to forecast.”
So now instead of manually updating forecasting spreadsheets, which took several days each month, DLR Group project managers can electronically pull data directly from Deltek Vision and update Vision automatically from the grid using EleVia’s Grids module. “Not only can we project revenue more accurately,” Haferbier explained, “we can also assess needed workload across our offices more accurately, and adjust staffing accordingly.”
EleVia Electronic Invoicing is an add-on product for Deltek Vision that automates the invoice review process to speed billing and improve cash flow. The optional Grids module allows firms to create user-defined grids that pull select data from Deltek Vision. The module is most often used for forecasting.
This is the second EleVia product DLR Group has purchased. The firm purchased EleVia Payables Approval & Tracking software in 2012. “EleVia’s strength is in creating base Vision-integrated products that can easily be customized to meet clients’ specific business needs,” Haferbier said. “We can adjust the software so it provides maximum value for us.”
