The S/L/A/M Collaborative now using three EleVia add-on products to get more value from its Deltek Vision ERP system.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, August 22, 2016—The S/L/A/M Collaborative, a national programming/planning and design firm, recently purchased EleVia A/R Management & Collections — its third EleVia add-on product for Deltek Vision — to automate its collections process and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), a calculation used to estimate average collection period.
“The last few years we’ve become very busy and collections has not received the level of attention that it should,” said Lucy Conway, SLAM Controller. “As a result, our DSO has been steadily increasing. EleVia’s A/R product makes it easy to focus on collections without a lot of work. Initially, we set up a communication schedule and email templates. Once we upload the outstanding invoices into the product to begin the collections process, the system will then notify the appropriate person when a client is past due and an email needs to be sent. With a click of a button, the email is generated with the relevant invoice and documentation pulled from Deltek Vision. As we start working with the product, we expect to see an improvement in DSO and be able to easily monitor that metric,” Conway added.
SLAM purchased its first EleVia product in 2010, EleVia Electronic Invoicing. “Our Accounting department was spending way too much time sending out and keeping track of draft invoices that needed to be reviewed by project managers,” Conway explained. “EleVia Electronic Invoicing automated and reduced our monthly review process by a full week, so we get invoices out to our clients faster to improve cash flow.”
Two years later, the firm purchased EleVia Payables Approval & Tracking software that automates the review of vendor invoices. “We receive over 3,800 invoices each year and had been keeping track of them manually on spreadsheets, which took about an hour each day to update,” Conway said. “EleVia’s product automatically tracks our payables and makes it easy for reviewers to mark-up invoices; the time savings are tremendous.”
Another benefit of the EleVia products, Conway said, is that they allow project managers to review billings and payables on the road. “We have project managers working all over the country. With EleVia products, they can connect to our network remotely and process invoices to keep accounting processes moving.”
EleVia Software was spun off from the products division of Central Consulting Group (CCG), the largest Deltek Vision Premier Partner. As demand for products increased, CCG owners created a separate company to put more focus on the software, which integrates seamlessly with the Deltek Vision ERP system.
